Dr. Nelson is a Mediator, and a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in civil/family/school mediation, therapy and psychological assessments. 1. What is your favourite quote, anecdote, proverb or experience that helps with relationship wellbeing?
Dr. Nelson: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” Maya Angelou.
2. What is your top piece of advice for relationship wellbeing?
Dr. Nelson: My piece of advice for relationship well being is: “Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. This quote has been attributed to Winston Churchill. I add to this: Communicate, Communicate, Communicate, even when it is difficult.
3. What is the one change in the world that you would like to see? (in your area of wellbeing or in the world in general or both)
Dr. Nelson: I would like to see more people astonish a mean world with KINDNESS. 1 Corinthians 13 would be the ultimate.
4. Which resources (books / websites / videos etc) for relationship wellbeing would you recommend?
Dr. Nelson: I love the book “The Prophet” by Khalil Gibran. It speaks to various human relationships. The one on Love is so inspiring.
5. What’s the one thing that always makes you smile?
Dr. Nelson: The thing that always make me smile is the genuine love expressed by young children.

Dr. Nelson: I recommend the book “Effortless Forgiveness” by Ed M. Smith and Joshua A. Smith. Thank you for allowing me to share a part of who I am.
