Aimee is a mental health advocate & blogger and the creator of the website, “I’m NOT disordered.” Aimee created the site as a way to chart her own mental health journey and provide others with insight into things they may have previously had little to no knowledge of or had misunderstood. Her site has over 800,000 readers.
She has worked to promote mental health with many well known people, companies and organisations including; Cats Protection, Oliver Bonas, Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, Northumbria Police and Disney + (amongst many others)

1. What is your favourite quote, anecdote, proverb or experience that helps with mental wellbeing?
Aimee:
“What if I fall?”
“Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?”
2. What is your top piece of advice for mental wellbeing?
Aimee: Speak up! Ask for help. Tell someone how you’re feeling and what you’re experiencing.
3. What is the one change in the world that you would like to see? (in your area of wellbeing or in the world in general or both)
Aimee: For suicide rates to go down.
4. Which resources (books / websites / videos etc) for wellbeing would you recommend?
Aimee: Can I say my own blog? www.imnotdisordered.co.uk
Otherwise, I’d recommend reading – no particular book, just reading in general!
5. What’s the one thing that always makes you smile?
Aimee: Just one?! Seeing my cat; Emmy, and bunny; Pixie play together in the garden!

Charity: LEAPS
Aimee is the chair of charity LEAPS (Listening Ear & Positive Support), a support group for those who are unwaged. The group meet weekly and act as a listening ear for one another, giving positive reassurance, advice, help, and support.
