The Physical Wellbeing 5 with James Somers

1. What is your favourite quote, anecdote, proverb or experience that helps with physical wellbeing?

James: Too much of one thing is good for nothing. You can eat carrots until you turn orange…But then you turn orange! Everything in moderation. It’s something my dad taught me that always stuck.

2. What is your top piece of advice for physical wellbeing?

James: Exercise, get enough sleep and do what you love. Also, have a good social network. Keep those friends/family that you can talk to, laugh with and share good memories on a consistent basis

3. What is the one change in the world that you would like to see? (in your area of wellbeing or in the world in general or both)

James: Equality across all boards. We are all human and come from different backgrounds and cultures. We also come from very different identities whether it be race, sexuality or gender and instead of judging someone by their appearance, you would be surprised how much you can get to know about a person or how much they can teach you based off of their life experience and I think it’s important to listen and learn from others.

4. Which resources (books / websites / videos etc) for physical wellbeing would you recommend?

James: The book of awesome by Neil Pasricha and You are a badass by Jen Sincero

5. What’s the one thing that always makes you smile?

James: Making people laugh or seeing other people smile. Its always nice to see someone happy. Plus, smiling is contagious. On the same note it’s nice being able to help others when you can. It always feels good and if someday you need some help, it’s nice when its reciprocated from someone else.
